INFORMATION CENTER ARNHEM

Battle of Arnhem

The bridge that was the centre of the action is in the centre of Arnhem, five kilometres from the Airborne Museum. This bridge – which became known as the ‘Bridge Too Far’ – is now called the John Frost Bridge, after the man who in 1944 bravely held it for four days.

The Battle of Arnhem Information Centre is situated beside this historic spot. At the centre you can see unique images and hear tales told by witnesses to the events. They recount what they saw, heard and experienced in those dreadful days of September 1944. Their stories are impressive and personal, and they are true.

The Information centre Battle of Arnhem is free of charge. No pets allowed – helping dogs excepted. The opening hours are as follows:

November 1st - April 1st
Monday - Saturday: 11.00 - 17.00
Sundays and Holidays: 12.00 - 17.00

April1st - November 1st
