Airborne Museum voor de vijfde keer genomineerd
Het Airborne Museum ‘Hartenstein’ in Oosterbeek ontvangt haar vijfde nominatie. Ditmaal heeft de European Museum Forum het museum genomineerd voor The European Museum of the Year Award 2011. Een panel van museum experts selecteert een aantal Europese musea voor deze Award. Het museum is wegens zijn innovatieve karakter reeds vijf maal in korte tijd genomineerd en won De Gouden Reiger 2009, een prijs voor de beste audiovisuele en interactieve media.

Airborne Museum honours its 100,000th visitor since re-opening
Wednesday, September 29th at 11.37 hrs., Englishman Philip Clark visited the Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein' and became the 100,000th visitor since re-opening of the entirely refurbished museum.
Clark was on holiday and because of his historic interrest in battles, he visited several European locations. The museum was recommended by others as a 'must see'.

Official opening
The ‘Commissaris van de Koningin’ in the Province of Gelderland and the commanders of the British and Polish paratroopers has done the official reopening ceremony on Sunday the 20th of August.
