This is the best place where you can find information about the Battle of Arnhem for your project or talk (look under Operation Market Garden on this site too). If you’re visiting the museum soon, this is what you can expect.
For students of all ages we have specially made educational programms. You will learn about the Battle of Arnhem f.e. through eyewitness stories: civilians (children during the battle) as well as soldiers: British and Polish as well as German eyewitness stories can be seen and heard in the museum.
Are you in secondary school? If so, the museum has a lot of great things in store for you. You’ll get a better idea about why the Battle of Arnhem is still remembered and commemorated. And why the Allies finally lost the battle.
There is a lot to do and experience in the museum, whether you come with your school or your friends or parents. And, of course, there’s the fantastic Airborne Experience. There aren’t many museums that make learning so attractive: you’ll find yourself actually at the Battle of Arnhem, while the fighting is at its most intense. It’s more thrilling than the most exciting computer game!
