From 28 October 2019, the museum will be closed for some months on account of a large-scale renovation.
The permanent display on the first floor will be completely renewed and the underground Airborne Experience will be expanded by a large number of new elements. The Network Exhibition will make room for the children’s Watership Down exhibition which allows children to step inside the world-famous story by Richard Adams. In addition, a multilingual audiotour will be developed in cooperation with prominent historians specialised in WWII. They will provide 60 unique exhibits with additional context and their personal story. There will be a special audiotour for children.
In March 2020, the museum will open again for the celebration of 75 years of freedom, entirely renewed.
This page will be used to keep you informed of the progress of the renovation.
